All the safety devices used in your facilities are very sensitive and vulnerable to lightning and switching surges. If these systems are damaged by transient voltages, then the entire protection strategy could be compromise : surge protection is highly recommended.

The cost of fully surge protecting an industrial or commercial facilitie is limited and provides peace of mind that your system will be operational when you need it most.

Recommended items of lightning protection for security cameras  

1. AC/DC Surge Protection Devices 

   • AC Din-Rail Surge Protector Type 1 to be installed at the origin of the AC installation equipped with LPS
   • AC Din-Rail Surge Protector Type 2 or Type 2+3 to be installed at the electrical distribution cabinets, choose the number of phases and discharge current capacity from larger to smaller for branch cabinets
   • Surge Protector Type 3 are intended to be installed near sensitive equipment.
   • The above devices can be replaced by AC Surge protection cabinets, AC surge suppression cabinets, parallel AC surge suppression cabinets, etc.

2. Surge protectors for survey cameras

   • Selection the appropriate Camera Surge Protector
     • Anolog Camera: Coaxial Surge Protector (CXC09-B/MF) Or Combined Surge Protectors to protect for power line and signal line (MSP-VM230)
     • IP Camera: RJ45 Surge Protector for CAT6A Cabling network (MJ8-C6A). 
     • 100Gigabit Ethernet/POE++ networks IP: Outdoor application CRMJ8-POE-C6A or Inside application (MJ8-POE-C6A)
   • Surge Protectors for Control Rooms: 19" Rack Surge Protector to protect at the management center such as PL24-CAT6, ATLAN 24 POE

3. Surge Protectors for Access Control

   • AC Type 3 surge protector DC Type 2 Surge protector
   • Ethernet Cat. 6A, Shielded RJ45 connector or POE++ surge protector MJ8-POE-C6A or Shielded RJ45 connector MJ8-C6A
   • Data line Surge Protectors to protect for RS232/485 (DLA2-12D3, DLA-24D3).

4. Surge Protectors for Firm Alarm 

   • Data line Surge Protectors RS232/485 DLA2-12D3
