CRMJ8-POE-C6A OUTDOOR POE++ IN-LINE SURGE PROTECTOR

The CRMJ8-POE-C6A is an outdoor PoE surge protector designed to protect sensitive data-processing equipment connected to a PoE (Power over Ethernet) network cabling Category 6 and Ethernet 10Gigabit from transient overvoltages.

These SPDs are now qualified with the maximum transmission speed and cabling category used for these Ethernet networks: 10Gigabit Ethernet and Category 6A.

Obviously, These new SPDs are applicable for the Ethernet networks with lower categories. The CRMJ8-POE surge protector is deployed in signal network applications with data transmission speeds up to1000 Mbps and is equipped with high quality shielded RJ45 connectors.

INSTALLATION
The surge protector for IT networks must be installed while respecting the following principles:

SPDs must be installed on the both sides of the transmission line (e.g. server side and terminal equipment side)
The surge protector and the protected equipment must be interconnected with the bonding network of the installation.
The earthing conductor (between the earth output of the SPD and the bonding circuit of the installation) must be as short as possible (less than 0.50 m).
The AC power supply of the equipment must also be surge protected.
