ESE Terminal (Early Streamer Emission air Terminal ) is an important component of the external lightning protection system, installed at the top of the structure to be protected. ESE Terminals is to create an upward propagating streamer, offering larger zones of protection. It does this by collecting and storing ground charge during the building phase of a thunderstorm.
